'Maddie is Online' at ACUNS Webinar: "Technology and the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence in Multilateralism" 

In April 2026 the School of Law and Social Sciences at Robert Gordon University organised a seminar in collaboration with the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), titled "Technology and the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence in Multilateralism." Across the sessions, speakers explored how the rapid advancement of AI is reshaping multilateralism and global governance, exploring algorithmic stewardship and responsible AI, regulation, security and inclusive development.

The presentation explored the opportunities and challenges presented by the growing use of artificial intelligence across institutions and society. It also reflected on digital literacy, information practices and emerging technologies, as well as the importance of trust, transparency, accountability and responsible use of AI systems. The discussion also features a demonstration of 'Maddie Online', an educational platform, demonstrating how ethical and human-centred approaches to AI can be translated into practical tools that support learning, engagement and digital inclusion.
